The Sight is a Wound
2024
'The Sight Is a Wound' incorporates footage of over 40 of my oil paintings—exhibited in 4 solo shows and over 20 group shows across the UK and globally—burned during its production. Through speculative philosophy and AI-assisted processes, the film interrogates the collapse of visuality in an age of hyper-mediated violence, questioning the politics of witnessing and the complicity of representation. Rather than creating new images, it documents the impossibility of framing anything beyond the urgency of historical rupture.
