Skylines

'Skylines' is an experimental ambient electronic improvisation composed entirely from processed guitar samples. The piece unfolds in real time, layering stretched tones, modulated textures, and subtle harmonic shifts to create a meditative, evolving soundscape. In its audio-visual form, "Skylines" pairs sound with a minimalistic video component that introduces a visual rhythmic layer. The composition emerged through a process of creative dialogue with udio.ai. The interaction strategy with the neural network was built on a reciprocal exchange of material: samples were uploaded, AI-generated variations were received, refined, and reintroduced into the system. Through this iterative cycle, the boundary of authorship became increasingly difficult to define — which was, in fact, part of the intention: to shift authorship to the skyline, where human and machine creativity meet.
