The Alignment Problem is conceived as a dialogue between two non-human entities. One attempts to teach the other how to speak and to conceive stories through a game of repetition. As it progresses, a story about a child’s accident begins to surface, but this story never fully forms, and the entire game restarts, like a recursive spell.
