In a world shaken by catastrophes, it is easy to forget that the causes are always manmade. Wars, fires, floods, even those disasters that seem unrelated to human activity, in reality are the results of decisions made by humanity. The Disaster lore is both a video and a performance looking at catastrophes in Russia and Brazil—the land of war and the country of fire. Both places historically suffer from opressive rulers working hard to destory feedom and nature for own benefit, blaming the results of their actions on God(s)’ rule. Yet the deities never favour those who act on their behalf.
